Helping St John Ambulance Victoria migrate to Atlassian Cloud

We love helping our customers and sharing what we have done to help them achieve their outcomes. This customer story is about how we assisted St John Ambulance Victoria migrate from an on-premise solution to Atlassian Cloud and leverage out-of-the-box functionality.

About St John Ambulance Victoria

St John Ambulance Victoria (SJAV) is a charity in the Australian community working for the Service of Humanity. A trusted and reassuring presence in the Victorian community for more than 138 years, SJAV work as part of the Order of St John in Australia. They look to the future as a vibrant and strong organisation which exists to help those in the Victorian community who are in sickness, distress, suffering or danger.

Outlining The Challenge

SJAV have been using Atlassian Server products (Jira Service Management, Confluence and Jira Software) for many years, they had already migrated to Atlassian's Cloud for Jira Software and Confluence. For Jira Service Management, SJAV wanted to migrate existing data (Jira service requests and configuration management data held in Insight) to the Atlassian Cloud and to start using some features of Opsgenie.

The Togetha Solution

SJAV sought the assistance of Togetha with migration and configuration of Jira Service Management to the Atlassian Cloud. In particular SJAV were interested in leveraging Opsgenie to automatically create incidents in Jira, linking incidents to the IT Services and their associated applications and hardware in Insight.

The Togetha team reviewed configuration of Jira Service Management, including Insight, for the server products. We migrated the Insight data, configured the out-of-the-box IT Service Management Project template's workflows and screens to SJAV's requirements, migrated existing incident data and assisted with the Opsgenie integration.

The SJAV team were very focused on what they wanted to achieve in the migration and initial configuration. The SJAV solution meets their immediate needs and is ready to support SJAV as further needs emerge.

We are very proud of the work we delivered and are delighted to have St John Ambulance (Victoria) as a Togetha client. We enjoy these nimble projects which underpin the delivery and support of important institutions that support the community.
